Photovoltaic
What are solar panels and how do they work?
The process of converting light or photons directly to electricity is called photovoltaic (PV). A solar panel absorbs photons from the light that has traveled 93 million miles from the sun, and this powerful solar energy knocks electrons loose from their atoms inside the solar panel. The electrons flow through the module to produce DC electricity which is then converted to AC electricity via a PV inverter, producing free green energy for your home and reducing electricity bills. Solar panels or photovoltaic modules group together to form a solar PV array, and add a solar battery for a solar PV storage system.

Five Star Google and Trustpilot review:
"We had a very good experience with Now EV. Very professional, knowledgeable, and did the work on time. Michael went out of his way to talk us through the work both before and afterwards. We are very pleased with the solar panels, battery and EV charger would highly recommend to others."

Solar Panel Bird Deterrent
Every one of our on-roof installations comes with bird deterrent, a must-have for any solar power installation but too often left out as consumers are unaware of the problems nesting birds can cause to a solar PV system. We choose between a plastic mesh made from 100% recycled plastic or black PVC coated wire mesh, both clipping to the solar panel without damage to maintain the solar panel warranty.
Why nesting birds are bad for your solar panel installation:
-
Damage to your solar panels
-
Noise disturbance
-
Increased bird droppings on the panels limiting performance
-
Limited ventilation under the solar panels
-
Risk of fire and reduced power output due to heat build up
