Photovoltaic
What are solar panels and how do they work?
The process of converting light or photons directly to electricity is called photovoltaic (PV). A solar panel system absorbs photons from light which has travelled 93 million miles from the sun, this powerful solar energy knocks electrons loose from their atoms inside the solar panel. The electrons flow through the module to produce DC electricity which is then converted to AC electricity via a photovoltaic panel inverter, producing free green energy for your home. Solar panels or solar photovoltaic modules are grouped together to form a solar panel array.
Installation of Solar Panels
Now EV is proud to be family run and completes every solar panel installation in house. From the high-quality solar panel mounting equipment to the inverter wiring and online commissioning, every part of every installation is completed by our trusted team who are experts in their trade. This way we can maintain our 100% 5-star rating and avoid the downfalls of subcontracting that we see far too often.

Five Star Google and Trustpilot review:
"After being let down by some of the "big names" in solar panel installation Michael took the time to perform an on-site survey, design the system most suitable for my home and needs and provide a detailed explanation of the elements in the design.
After this, proceeding to the actual installation was a seamless process. Michael completed the installation as expected and the system has been working without an issue. I can't recommend Now EV enough."

PV Array Bird Deterrent
Every one of our on-roof installations comes with bird deterrent as standard, a must-have for any solar power installation but too often left out as consumers are unaware of the problems nesting birds can cause to a solar panel system. Black PVC coated wire mesh is installed around all sides of the solar panel array, clipping to the solar panel to maintain the warranty.
Why nesting birds are bad for your solar panel installation:
-
Damage to your solar panels
-
Noise disturbance
-
Increased bird droppings on the panels limiting performance
-
Limited ventilation under the solar panels
-
Risk of fire and reduced power output due to heat build up
